Watch Our Story
Why this matters
Safety Should Never Be Compromised
Leaving an abusive relationship is one of the most dangerous moments in a survivor’s life.
While Sanctuary has served our region for decades, our current emergency shelter was never designed to meet today’s security, accessibility, and confidentiality needs.
The current facility:
Sits near public streets and parking
Makes client confidentiality more difficult
Has significant accessibility challenges
Requires ongoing and costly maintenance
Lacks safe outdoor healing & recreational space for children
They deserve a place designed around healing; not limitations.
Why we must build
More Than a New Building
This campaign is about giving survivors what every person deserves:
Safety
A confidential location intentionally designed to protect families escaping violence.
Dignity
Private living spaces that restore independence and respect.
Healing
Secure parking and entrances, counseling rooms, support groups, play areas, and green spaces where recovery can begin.
Hope
Resources that help families rebuild their lives.

Building Hope Together

Every one of us has experienced moments when kindness, compassion, or a helping hand changed our lives. Sanctuary exists to provide that same hope for survivors facing unimaginable circumstances.
Together, we can ensure every individual and family has a safe place to heal, rebuild, and begin again.
Community Support
Standing Together for Survivor Safety
“A secure, confidential shelter is not simply an improvement, it is a necessity. Enhanced security measures protect survivors during the most dangerous moments of their lives while strengthening the safety of our entire community. We proudly support Sanctuary’s vision for a new emergency shelter.”
