The 15th Shop & Share event for Kentucky’s domestic violence shelters will be Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024.
Shop & Share is a one-day fundraiser where shoppers are asked to SHOP for what they need and SHARE an item with their local domestic violence program. Sanctuary, Inc. staff and volunteers will be set up at Kroger stores in Hopkinsville, Madisonville and Powderly from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10 handing out shopping lists and collecting donations.
Over the 14 events that have taken place, more than $5 million in goods and monetary donations have been raised for the 15 domestic violence shelter programs that make up the Kentucky’s domestic violence coalition, ZeroV.
Other partners include the Governor and First Lady’s offices; Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana and the Kentucky Women’s Federation.
Goods donated during Shop & Share allow ZeroV programs, like Sanctuary, to use their budgets to continue providing services to the men, women, and children in Kentucky who seek assistance in rebuilding their lives free from abuse.
People can get involved in different ways. They can contact Sanctuary to sign up to volunteer at a nearby grocery store, collecting donations from shoppers. They may also plan to shop that day and donate needed items to the volunteers. You can contact Sanctuary at 270-885-4572 or check out our Facebook page for more information.
